Fall is the season for the leaves to fall, the weather gets cooler, and of course great fall fashion. But, it can also be the season for dry hair - eye roll! No worries though, this curly girl is going to share my best natural hair strategies to keep your hair happy and healthy during the colder months.
If you’re anything like me you might want to straighten your hair when it gets cooler. Hey it lasts longer and can be easier to maintain and I’ll tell you how. But if you want to keep the curls all year long, I have something for you too.
Curly Hair Routine
- Wash your hair with the shampoo and conditioner of your choice. I like to use the OGX Anti- Breakage Shampoo and Conditioner
- Do a cold rinse. Try to avoid overly hot water that can dry out your hair during months where “dry” is everywhere.
- After you wash, follow up with detangling your hair. I like to use the Eden Coconut Curl Defining Cream
- Let your hair air dry and add any of your favorite oils. I like to use YANY Nourish Peppermint Oil.
- Walk away like a hair Goddess.
Straight Hair Routine
- Wash your hair with the OGX Anti- Breakage Shampoo and Conditioner or the duo of your choice.
- Do a cold rinse
- After you wash detangle your hair with organic coconut oil
- Part your hair into four large sections and add a dime size of straightening serum. I like to use CHI Silk Infusion.
- Blow out your hair in the sections.
- Straighten your hair with a flat iron or keep the blow out look.
- Add light-weight oils to your scalp.
- And you’re sleek and fly.
